The backup schedule, retention period, restore process and support hours are documented in your proposal. A care plan is not a 24/7 emergency service or a promise that a site can never go offline.

Included maintenance

Keep the agreed website working.

Routine technical checks and fixes related to the maintained website. If a third-party provider is responsible, support means helping diagnose and escalate the issue, not controlling that provider’s uptime.

Optional content support

Keep the information current.

Text and image changes can be quoted individually or included in a defined monthly allowance. Managed website plans include up to 30 minutes of small content edits per month; unused time does not roll over.

Quoted separately

New features need a new scope.

Additional pages, redesigns, new integrations, lengthy content entry and recovery of pre-existing problems are outside routine maintenance. No extra work is charged without agreement.

Third-party costs

Your accounts, made clear.

Domain renewals, business email, booking subscriptions, stock media and premium licences are separate unless listed in your proposal. Keep essential accounts registered to your business wherever possible.

Is care included in a managed website plan?

Yes. Managed monthly website plans include hosting, the care scope above and up to 30 minutes of small content edits each month. The website build is also part of that plan, which is why it costs more than standalone care.

Can I use my own host?

For a one-off build, yes, provided the chosen hosting is compatible with the agreed website. Hosting on your own account does not automatically include ongoing monitoring or maintenance from Clearly Online.

What happens if I leave?

Standalone care and managed website plans have different commitments. Your agreement specifies notice, final payment and migration responsibilities. Exportable website files and access are handed over according to that agreement; moving to an incompatible platform may require new work.

Will you maintain any existing website?

Not automatically. Access, platform age, licensing and existing faults need to be checked first. Any repair or migration work required before taking over support is quoted separately.
